SABL Land Grab

Between 2003 and 2011, more than 5 million hectares of land was stolen from rural communities using fraudulent agriculture leases.
In 2013, a Commission of Inquiry declared the leases unlawful, but the govt. was slow to take any effective action.
Although the govt. now claims many of the leases have been cancelled, the details have not been released and other major issues still remain.
